COLUMBIA, Mo. (KSDK) - Central Missouri received another eight inches of snow Tuesday morning, causing roads to become messy.

NewsChannel 5's Grant Bissell traveled to the area and says Interstate 70 was in good shape. The side roads though had not been plowed, making them difficult to maneuver.

The University of Missouri called off classes, and Boone County officers were closed for the day.

Light rain is now falling in the area, and Missouri Department of Transportation crews continue to work to make sure roads stay in good condition.
