ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A St. Louisan will be honored by the White House Tuesday for the time and effort devoted to helping further education among African Americans.

Becky James-Hatter, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri will join nine other leaders who are being recognized as "Champions of Change."

The Champions of Change program was created as part of President Obama's Winning the Future initiative, and each week features a group of Americans working to better their communities.

The event will be streamed live through theWhite House website at 3:30 p.m., February 26
