LADUE, Mo. (KSDK) - The Ladue Board of Education voted unanimously Tuesday to appoint a 22-year veteran of the Ladue School District as its new superintendent.

Dr. Donna Jahnke, presently serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning, will start her new role July 1 after her current contract expires.

Jahnke earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Special Education Certification from Southeast Missouri State University. She later earned a Master of Education from the University of Missouri and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.

Donna Jahnke launched her education career as a special education teacher for the Special School District of St. Louis County. She joined the Ladue School District in 1991 as a classroom teacher. She became director of community services in 1996 and was appointed principal of Reed Elementary School in 1998. Jahnke became assistant superintendent in 2008.
