ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - High School students from across the Midwest are in St. Louis showing off their high-tech talents.
NewsChannel 5 stopped by a robotics competition at SLU's Chaifetz Arena pm Friday where 48 teams from Missouri and four surrounding states are putting their robots head to head in the regional competition.
In each match, three teams of robots compete against each other, to toss the most discs into their goals.
Some of the students hope to use their skills in future careers, others say they're learning things they can put to use in real life.
The competition also includes a pyramid climbing competition.
Opening Ceremonies were Friday, and the event continues through Saturday.
