ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Two major construction projects will impact St. Louis-area drivers this weekend.

All lanes and ramps of Interstate 64 between Hampton and Forest Park Avenue. The closure begins at 8 p.m. Friday and will reopen around 3 a.m. Monday.

During the closure, crews will relocate several utilities under the road as partof a project to construct a newinterchange at Tower Grove and Boyle and replace four bridges over the interstate.

The detour for westbound I-64 will be to get off the interstate at the Forest Park Avenue exit (exit 38A) and follow Forest Park Avenue to Kingshighway. After turning left onto Kingshighway, drivers will follow Kingshighway back to the interstate. The detour for eastbound I-64 will be to get off the interstate at the Hampton Avenue exit (exit 34B), turn right on Hampton and follow it to eastbound Interstate 44. Drivers can then take I-44 to the Poplar Street Bridge.

The second construction project will force westbound I-70to onlyhave one lane open crossing the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge. It will begin at 11 p.m. Friday and last through8a.m. Saturday.

Crews will be repairing pavement atthe St. Charles end of the bridge. Drivers are encouraged to use Route 370 or Route 364as detours.
