COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - Several roads in Illinois are closed because of flooding.

The Illinois Department of Transportation said Illinois 3 is closed at Rockwood in Randolph County, Illinois 100 is closed between Kampsville and Pearl and Illinois 3 is closed in Grafton in Jersey County.

In addition, the Brussels Ferry, Illinois 100 in Grafton between Illinois 16 and Illinois 3, Kaskaskia Street in Chester, the Illinois 3 By-Pass in Randolph County, Illinois 96at Mozier, plus Illinois Route 96/100 in Kampsville and Illinois 100 through Hardin remain closed. Detours for drivers have been posted.

IDOT anticipates it may have to close additional roads in the next 24 hours as the rivers crest. The roadways likely to be impacted within this period include: Illinois 100, northwest of US 67 in Alton. In addition, the Illinois 100 closure in Jersey County may be extended toward Alton due to the rising water.
