Clayton, MO (KSDK) - Testimon will continue this morning in St. Louis County Court for the first degree murder trialof 21 year old Keith Meiners of Overland.

Meiners is charged with first degree murder in the November 2010 death of 19 year old J.J. Willman of Woodson Terrace.

Jurors were seated late Monday with opening statements made in the trial which is expected to last through the end of the week. The panel cocnsists of a 12 member panel and an alternate.

Willman's body was found in a remote area off Columbia Bottoms Road after his car was discovered abandoned at a rest stop off I-270 at Riverview Boulevard several days after an intense search. The license plates on Willman's car were also missing when the vehicle was located.

Prosecutors plan to present evidence that Willman was beaten to death after an argument with Meiners over a woman infected with a sexually transmitted disease.

Authorities say Meiners beat Willman, then duct taped him and left him in a field in a state conservation area.

Family members first notified police of J.J. Willman's disappearance when he failed to show up at work.
