MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KSDK) - Being part of the St. Louis County Strike Team means Maryland Heights firefighters have to be ready for many different scenarios and practice alternate rescues.

One such rescue method involves a firefighter being strapped into a full body harness and being hoisted several stories in the air by other firefighters on the ground.

Pat McGonigle acted as the 'Today in St. Louis' guinea pig to get a firsthand experience of taking to the air. And his fear of heights was a minor inconvenience compared to the "constrictive harness."
