ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - The Missouri Department of Transportation closed westbound Route 67 in St. Charles County between the Clark Bridge and Route 94 due to flooding.
The closurehappened Mondaybetween 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.and will be closed until further notice.
Eastbound lanes are not expected to be affected by flood waters.
The St. Charles Office of Public Information says the water is the result of a temporary flood barricade that gave way, and is not because of a levee breach.
Drivers will need to use Interstate 270 as a detour around the Route 67 closure.
