ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 16-year-old who was shot dead in Barrett Park.

The teen, identified as James Moore, stood at Goodfellow and St. Louis Avenue awaiting his school bus to take him to Sumner High School when he was approached by someone wearing a mask, St. Louis police said.

The suspect shot Moore multiple times before leaving the scene. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tuesday afternoon a Dodger Charger matching the description of a vehicle wanted in connection to the shooting was pursued in Jennings. One female and two males were taken into custody for questioning. They were determined to have no connection to the murder, but are facing felony fleeing charges.
