Workers took part in a 30-second moment of silence at 11:20 a.m. to honor the TSA officer killed in Los Angeles International Airport, according to Lambert spokesman Jeff Lea.

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Lambert St. Louis-International Airport's workers stood together Friday morning for a recent airport tragedy.

Workers took part in a 30-second moment of silence at 11:20 a.m. to honor the TSA officer killed in Los Angeles International Airport, according to Lambert spokesman Jeff Lea.

Lambert joined with airports across the country stopping for a moment of silence at security checkpoints.

Gerardo Hernandez was the first TSA officer killed in the line of duty, according to an Associated Press article.
