ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A caller claiming to be affiliated with the Archdiocese of St. Louis allegedly tried to solicit funds for Typhoon Haiyan relief, according to a news release.
During the alleged incident, the caller asked the victim for a credit card number.
The Archdiocese of St. Louis is not soliciting donations over the phone for typhoon relief, according to a news release. Instead, it's accepting donations during special collections at Sunday Masses.

All donations collected by the Archdiocese of St. Louis will be directly turned over to Catholic Relief Services.
