USA TODAY - There are Black Friday deals for political junkies, too.
Progressive Change Campaign Committee has expanded its line of union-made merchandise that proclaims "I'm from the Elizabeth Warren wing of the Democratic Party." The group backed the Massachusetts Democrat's successful Senate campaign last year and was out in force recently passing out bumper stickers at a Democratic Party dinner in New Hampshire.
The expanded Warren line includes T-shirts, bumper stickers, magnets, hoodies and even onesies for baby Democrats-in-the-making — all made in the USA.
"We believe that just like wearing a hat from your favorite sports team shows their popularity, people across the nation wearing these items and showing their support for Elizabeth Warren builds her popularity — which is important for building a movement around her bold leadership," says Matt Wall, press secretary for the PCCC.
Not to be outdone, the folks at the Ready for Hillary super PAC have holiday items and other goodies for their supporters who want to see Hillary Rodham Clinton in the White House.
Want to toast Clinton and ring in the new year at the same time? The super PAC that's hoping to draft Clinton into the 2016 presidential race has champagne flutes for $30 embellished with its logo. Matching cocktail napkins with a quote from Clinton — "I really hope that we have a woman president in my lifetime" — are available for $15.
On the Republican side, the American Conservative Union is offering $100 off registration for the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference. The Christmas and Hanukkah "early bird" offer to attend what's traditionally the largest conservative gathering in Washington is good through Dec. 31.
