ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The managing partner of a prominent law firm and president of Arch Grants has received the St. Louis Award for his "outstanding contributions to the St. Louis region," according to a news release.

Jerry Schlichter is the 86th person to receive the award. He joins the company of past honorees including Joe Edwards, M. Peter Fischer, Emily Rauh Pulitzer and Jack Taylor.

Schlichter is the founding and managing partner of Schlichter Bogard & Denton and the president of Arch Grants, a national business plan competition aimed at attracting companies and establishing St. Louis as a start-up hub.

Prior to establishing Arch Grants, Schlichter founded Mentor St. Louis, a programs aimed at helping kids succeed in school with the encouragement of an adult mentor.

Schlichter received the award at a ceremony Tuesday night.
