ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (AP) - A suburban Chicago investment consultant already convicted earlier this year of bilking clients out of more than $4 million has now pleaded guilty to forgery.

The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reports that Steven W. Salutric of Hanover Park was sentenced to five years in prison in exchange for the plea he entered in Cook County Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows. The plea stems from the 55-year-old Salutric's altering of six checks and making them payable to himself.

This year in the case stemming from his work as an investment consultant, Salutric was convicted in federal court and sentenced to eight years in prison and ordered to pay nearly $3.9 million in restitution.
