KSDK - Hundreds of students across the St. Louis and Southern Illinois area are waiting to find out Friday night if they'll be able to take the ACT Saturday morning.

Some ACT sites in the St. Louis area have already cancelled because of the sleet snow weather we are getting tonight. Some other ACT site coordinators won't make the decision until early Saturday morning.

Cancellations could affect students applying for early admission to college. Most post-secondary institutions need the ACT score before they can accept students into their programs or give them scholarships.

Students across the country will be writing the standardized test Saturday. You can check the cancellations at http://www.actstudent.org/regist/reschedule/.
