ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KSDK) – One woman's act of kindness sparked a chain reaction at a cookie shop on Main Street.
A woman gave the owner of Grandma's Cookies $100 on Friday, asking him to give away cookies to other customers throughout the day. She said it was a random act of kindness in remembrance of the one-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook shootings.
The kindness didn't stop with her. Other customers heard and donated money too.
"To see people take that and pay it forward, be nice to the next person, or keep that gesture going, really showed me that there's still a lot of really good people in the world," Brian Weis said.
It took Grandma's Cookies nine hours to give away all of the cookies.
