CALHOUN AND GREENE COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) – Citing ice accumulation in the Illinois River, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Monday that it will close the Kampsville Ferry until conditions improve.

IDOT recommends that motorists use the Hardin Bridge to get to Calhoun County. Brussels Ferry is still open, however, ice has started to accumulate within the crossing area.
