DES PLAINES, Ill. (AP) - Crews used a sonar-equipped remote vehicle to search a river for a former Des Plaines, Ill., woman who disappeared after being swept away by floodwaters in southern Indiana.

The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reports Tuesday's search of the White River was unsuccessful.

It was the third day in the search for 31-year-old Cathryn McGill. She was riding in a pickup truck driven by her 35-year-old husband, Adam McGill, when it was swept away Sunday. Adam McGill was rescued. He was released from the hospital Monday after treatment for hypothermia.

Indiana Conservation Officer Jim Schreck says the flooded river is receding, but snow expected Wednesday won't help.

Authorities originally misspelled the missing woman's first name as Kathryn. The couple was heading to Norfolk, Va., where he's stationed with the Navy.
