IMPERIAL, Mo. (KSDK) – Some people were stranded long before the storm got close to the St. Louis area.
Nearly 100 Megabus riders were stranded on the side of the road near Imperial for about five hours, with nothing to eat or drink, and who were worried about the storm headed our way.
It was all because of a flat tire.
It happened at around 4 p.m. Saturday, and crews didn't show up to fix the tire until five horus later. The bus was heading to Chicago from Memphis with a stop in St. Louis. There were 73 passengers – including a pregnant woman and children.
They tried calling Megabus, but say they were on hold forever, and once they got through, customer service representatives were rude.
Meanwhile, dozens of passengers say they were left in a filthy bus with nowhere to turn.
NewsChannel 5's Talia Kaplan called Megabus, and while they couldn't say why passengers had to wait for five hours, they did say they all got a full refund.
