EAST ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Two men and a woman are in custody after an armed altercation over stolen cash and marijuana.
It happened last week, when the victim went over to a friend's house to "hang out." He walked up to a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 1300 block of West 4th Avenue, where Lemar Gully, 19, Dwayne Morgan, 20 and Zoey Fender, 20, sat inside.
The passenger demanded that the victim hand over money and marijuana, pointing a handgun in his direction. He complied, and was able to get out of the car unharmed before the suspects drove away.
Next, the victim and a friend pursued the vehicle, calling 911 in the process to report the crime. They caught up with the suspects at an intersection in Fairview Heights, where the victim got out of the vehicle and approached the suspects, who once again threatened him with a gun before driving off.
Fairview Heights police later found and stopped the suspect's vehicle. After an ensuing investigation, Gully was charged with armed robbery and unlawful use of a weapon, and is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. Morgan was charged with robbery and theft, and is currently being held on a $75,000 bond. Fender was also charged with robbery and theft, and is on a $75,000 bond.
All three are currently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail.
The victim, according to a news release, has not been charged with anything.
