ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - A 12-year-old St. Francois County girl is suspended and police are launching an investigation after she allegedly threatened to kill other middle school classmates.
Park Hills Police say the girl made the threat over FaceTime and even showed a gun that turned out to be an Airsoft pistol.
Regardless, the school and police took the threat seriously. The mother of one of the Central Middle School students allegedly threatened contacted Five on Your Side.
She says, on FaceTime, the 12-year-old girl said she would shoot her daughter and other girls in their faces at school and kill one particular girl slowly.
One of the students contacted police who confiscated the Airsoft gun. The school suspended the 12-year-old.
The mother says the girls had angered the 12-year-old when they defended someone she was bullying.
We're not releasing names because these are children, but Five on Your Side's Mike Rush spoke with the mother of the girl accused of making the threats. She confirms those are the words and actions her daughter is accused of, but denies she did and said those things. She says her daughter is the victim of bullying. She plans to meet with juvenile officers Monday.
