ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The Cardinals are hard at work in Florida training for next season, and another team in St. Louis also working hard to get things ready for opening day.
Ballpark Village's grand opening is slated for March 27, and Jim Watry, the chief operating officer, says construction is right on schedule.
Waltry showed NewsChannel 5's Art Holliday around for the first time since November. A lot of progress has been made, including Wednesday's installation of a 36-foot video monitor.
More than 300 construction workers are working on the project, which now includes another concert venue called the Barn. Watry says it will be inside of the PBR St. Louis bar.
"It's small, about 300 people, but we thought it was necessary," Waltry said. "We do a lot of live music at PBR's, so we wanted to expand on this."
Hiring continues for the 250 jobs at Ballpark Village.
You can apply at a trailer on-site. It's open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
