KSDK – A landmark on the St. Louis riverfront is on the move.

The Lewis and Clark statue often ends up under water when the Mississippi River floods. To prevent damage, and make it easier for visitors to see, the statue will be moved.

The group Arch-City-River says the statue will go somewhere less susceptible to flooding.

It's not clear where that will be, or when the move will happen.
