KSDK – Floods along the Missouri River have prompted farmers and business owners to sue the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

They claim the agency has mismanaged the Missouri River since 2006, and contributed to major flooding in five states.

The lawsuit claims some plaintiffs experienced extensive damage – particularly during the 2011 flooding that devastated farmland in Missouri and other states.

Corps officials are not responding.
