St. Louis is constantly working to improve its image and draw more visitors. And NewsChannel 5 wants to help.
This weekend, thousands of out-of-towners filled downtown St. Louis for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. And we were there to ask how visitors think the city can improve.
"The MetroLink. Some of the stops around here are not real convenient," said John Burkett of Terre Haute, Ind.
"There's obviously not enough parking around here," added Dennis Gillen of Wichita, Kan.
Janice Hines and Michael Sherman of Murphysboro, Ill. would like to see abandoned buildings around the city torn down.
"There is so much housing that is burned. The buildings are burned down, windows are busted out," Hines said.
"It's not free. It's going to cost money to take them down. But it would be cheaper probably than trying to renovate it," Sherman said.
Now that we've gotten some good suggestions we're going to take them to local leaders to try to make St Louis a better place to live, work and visit.
But we're not stopping here. We want to know what you think, too. Go to our KSDK Facebook page and leave your comments.
Who knows? Your idea could be the one to create change.
