ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A petition is circulating online to stop St. Louis aldermen from allowing a new downtown music festival.
ICM – which represents big names in film, TV and music – wants a contract to launch "Summer Rocks" festivals at the Gateway Mall during Memorial and Labor Day Weekends.

Petitioners say the non-compete clause is driving away longtime festivals like Taste of St. Louis and Blues Week.
The Board of Alderman is expected to vote on the proposal this week.
If ultimately approved, the festivals could net the city anywhere from $1 million to $6 million ticket revenue and sales taxes.
