WOOD RIVER, Ill. (KSDK) – Authorities seized more than 30 marijuana plants, growing materials and four firearms from a home in Wood River Tuesday afternoon.
Three suspects have been charged in the grow operation – only one is in custody.
At approximately 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, police executed a search warrant at a home in the 900 block of East Acton after an investigation by Wood River Narcotics Officers hinted at a possible cannabis grow in the basement.
As a result of the investigation, David Hoffmann, 40, has been charged with one count of unlawful production of cannabis and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon; Brittany Smith, 20, has been charged with one count of unlawful production of cannabis; and Ted Titsworth, 52, has been charged with one count of unlawful production of cannabis and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Bond for Titsworth and Hoffmann has been set at $100,000, and bond for Smith has been set at $25,000. Titsworth is the only suspect currently in custody.
