MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) – Students in the Metro East will get a lesson this week about the dangers of sexting.

Sexting is defined as "the sending of sexually explicit photographs or message via mobile phone," according to Google.

Recent stats show that 22 percent of high schoolers are sext-ually active. More than half of those students say they would share those racy texts with someone else.

Students at Madison High School will learn about the dangers of sexting on Tuesday, and why it could lead to serious criminal charges.
