KSDK – The mystery of the missing Malaysia Airlines jet has dominated the headlines for the past two weeks. And now, the public is getting involved in the search.

DigitalGlobe has directed its satellites to snap pictures of the search area, and those are available on "Tomnod," a map-scouring web app. Thousands of volunteers have looked at the images online, where they're directed to keep their eyes peeled for oil slicks, wreckage, rafts or other bits of evidence that the missing plane exists.

The demand to search for the jet is more than enough for the site's servers, which have crashed continuously since its inception.

Courtney Love is among those who have joined the search. On her Twitter account, she even posted a link to what she believes is wreckage from the missing jet.
