ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The non-profit Fairy Glam Prom Project gave away free prom dresses at the St. Louis Outlet Mall Saturday to those who simply can't afford their own.

Organizers say money shouldn't stand in the way of the important night.

"There's so many girls who can't afford to go to prom," Nikole Perkins said. "Your prom is the biggest event of your senior year. So we wanted to make the dream come true for girls who are less fortunate."

All of the dresses were donated.

About 100 girls got to try on and take home the outfit of their choice.

Girls also got the chance to meet with personal shoppers and get free beauty demonstrations to get ready for their big night.
