ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the third recent fire in vacant buildings in St. Joseph.
The St. Joseph News-Press reportsthat the most recent fire was reported in a two-story vacant building early Saturday. Another structure fire also was also reported last weekend, causing $40,000 in damage, and a suspicious fire Tuesday destroyed a third unoccupied structure.
The department is investigating the causes of the fires, which haven't been ruled arsons.
Fire Chief Mike Dalsing says neighbors should keep an eye on vacant structures and report any suspicious activity.
