ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – One local family has gotten a blessing to the third degree. Ebony Easter and Curtis Hill are the parents to three identical baby girls.

Doctors at Cardinal Glennon say the girls' natural births are so rare that it only happens four times a year in the U.S.

The three beautiful girls are extra special for this family: the mother was diagnosed with ovary syndrome in early 2013, and doctors told her she couldn't get pregnant.

All of that changed in December.

"When I first found out I was pregnant, I thought one baby," Easter said. "Then I went for an ultrasound and they told me twins. So I went around telling everyone, hey, I'm having twins! Then I had an ultrasound and me and my mom were there and she fell out of her chair because they said we see another head!"

The three girls were born about three months premature – but doctors at Cardinal Glennon say they're doing well.

Mom should be able to take Emanuela, Emoni and Eliyah home in June.
