ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KSDK) – A 24-year-old man is charged in the robbery of a comic book store employee that led to the precautionary lockdown of multiple area schools.

Police responded to the parking lot 2426 W. Clay at approximately 10:50 a.m. Monday after a Fantasy Shop employee said a man implied he had a weapon and demanded he turn over his bank bag.

The suspect has since been identified as Adam Radigan, who police say took the bank bag – which had an undetermined amount of money inside – and fled north on Droste Road by foot.

As a precaution, the St. Charles School District was notified about what happened, and some nearby schools were placed on lockdown.

Radigan is charged with first degree robbery and is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
