ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A restaurant staple in the Central West End is closing its doors after more than half a century in business.
The Majestic Restaurant Bar opened at the corner of Laclede and Euclid back in 1961.
Since then, it's been known for delicious Greek-American food. The restaurant was packed Sunday with patrons getting that final taste of all their favorite dishes.
The secret to their success?
"Good service, good food and low prices. That's it. Those three things," Co-Owner Bill Politis said.
But after 53 years of business, the 79-year-old says it's time to go.
Politis says the restaurant has been sold to a new owner, who plans on opening a barbecue restaurant in the space.
