ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – Two cars were broken into just blocks from Busch Stadium Monday while thousands of Cardinals fans took to downtown for Opening Day.

The break-ins happened at the intersection of Tucker and Hickory.

It comes on the same day that St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson talked about an added department focus on car clouting.

"Make sure you know where you park your car," he said, "make sure it's a lot that has an attendant on duty. City ordinances require an attendant to be on duty at events like this."

Dotson says his department is also in contact with the FBI to make sure they're aware of any larger-scale threats against the stadium.
