ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A car that went missing in early March has been found by police after it appeared in a "for sale" ad on Craigslist.

The car's owner told police that she started her car during a cold day and left it running with the keys inside and the doors unlocked. When she returned to it a few minutes later, it was gone.

The email address included in the Craigslist ad was traced to 21-year-old St. Louis resident Aubrey Watkins. Watkins told police he bought the car from a friend and knew it was stolen.

He faces charges for felony tampering of a motor vehicle.
