ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – A teenager was shot in the shoulder by an acquaintance Monday afternoon near the corner of Kingshighway and Martin Luther King while he was trying to board a Metro Bus, police say.

It happened at approximately 1:30 p.m. The gunshots also hit the bus, but none of the 15 to 20 passengers aboard were injured, according to a news release.

The victim, identified as a 17-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital and treated for a graze wound to the shoulder. The suspect is not is custody.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
