KIRKWOOD, Mo. (KSDK) – The Walker Foundation announced Wednesday that it will give Kirkwood High School a $10 million grant to build a new pool on campus.

The facility will be called the Walker Natatorium, according to a message sent to parents.

Nance Frost and Brian Humes, trustees representing the foundation, made the announcement to students and staff at an assembly on Wednesday.

The next step is for design plans to be approved. The district expects to break ground this summer, and finish the pool before the start of the 2015-16 school year.
