FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) – The show dog who first went missing 13 days ago from the National Championship Sheltie Show in Gray Summit was found Wednesday morning -- 21 miles away from where he first disappeared.

Drake, a tri-color Shetland sheepdog, was spotted by someone driving down Interstate 44 while he was chewing on some road kill in the median. The Good Samaritan chased him for two miles before they finally caught him near the AH overpass between Union and St. Clair.

His owners say he was covered in ticks and had a 105 degree fever, but is otherwise in good shape.

Drake was first spotted on Tuesday morning just outside of St. Clair city limits. His owners are from Colorado, and have stayed in Missouri over the past 13 days to search for him.
