ST. ANN, Mo. (KSDK) – People celebrated in St. Ann with a remembrance at Aleander-White-Mullen Funeral Home followed by a special ceremony at the nearby Mount Lebanon cemetery.

The cemetery is known for its unusual tree carvings. It lost 43 trees during the 2011 Good Friday tornado. Inside of removing them, artist Ryan Meyer transformed them into works of art – including a soldier at attention.

Meyer spent this weekend carving a 250th birthday cake for St. Louis.

Guests were invited to make a wish, then the candles were buried under the cake.
