MARION COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) – The man accused of dragging his horse behind a truck on a hilly gravel road last week was in court Tuesday morning on animal cruelty charges.
Rodney Hassebrock's bond has been set at $50,000 under the condition that he have no companion animals. He told the judge that he probably won't be able to post bond.

Hassebrock's horse, Dock, is currently in the care of Colleen Miselbrook, who takes in abused animals and cares for them until authorities decide what to do. Deputy Hannah Bruff and her fellow officers rescued Dock on Sunday.
Dock's hoofs were severely wounded, he has road rashes and was in extreme pain.
