ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – ConAgra Foods will reduce its workforce in St. Louis from 450 employees to 320, a company spokesperson confirms.
Employees will be notified whether they still have a job Wednesday and Thursday, according to a company spokesperson, and each position will have a different timetable for when it's eliminated. Some may be gone in weeks – others months.
In February, the company announced that it was trying to save $100 million by the end of the 2016 fiscal year.
Despite eliminating 130 positions in St. Louis, a company spokesperson says there are no current plans to close the St. Louis office, nor is the plan being discussed.
