CHICAGO (AP) - Prosecutors want a 74-year-old who robbed a suburban Chicago bank so he could return to prison to receive extra prison time for a parole violation.

A federal judge sentenced Walter Unbehaun in April to 3 1/2 years in the 2013 heist. He'd told arresting officers he intended to get caught so he could return "home" to prison.

A defense filing Sunday argues Unbehaun shouldn't have more time tacked on to the April sentence.

But at the time of that 2013 Niles bank robbery, Unbehaun had only been out of prison a short time after serving 11 years for a 1998 Morton Grove bank robbery.

Prosecutors say that 2013 holdup violated his parole. They're asking he get a year and a half more behind bars.

His next hearing is June 18.
