Today was the first day of the new rules implemented at Fugitive Beach after 6-year-old Noah Cook drowned on July 25.

There were spray painted signs at the entrance and again at the front gate.

The signs said: "No outside alcohol-purchase on site' & 'Life jackets required for kids 10 and under."

Although patrons cannot bring alcohol in they can still drink here because of the local speakeasy! The Fugitive Beach owner Mark Kearse said that the liquor rule is due in part to the liquor license change at the on site bar but they also want to be able to control how much people drink.

Kearse also happens to be the Rolla Police Chief and hired 2 deputies to check bags and card at the front door.

Visitors we talked to didn't seem to mind the new rules and said they were happy them.
