ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) – A Wentzville, Mo. man has been sentenced to prison time for a barber shop shooting that took place last winter.

Lester Davis, was sentenced to seven years in prison for second-degree assault and seven years for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentences will run concurrently. He was also sentenced to seven years in prison for armed criminal action, which will run consecutively, for a total of 14 years in prison.

The victim told police he and Davis were part of a group talking about the Newtown, Conn. school killings when Davis walked out to his vehicle, returned with a gun, and fired three shots at the victim. No one was injured.

Davis pleaded guilty to the charges Sept. 13. He was previously convicted of a felony in New Jersey.
