ST. LOUIS (KSDK) – The circus spotlight is a little bit dimmer as performers and others mourn the loss of one of their own.
Moore drove his car southbound on Riverview when he lost control, swerved over a curb and crashed into a concrete support beam, according to St. Louis police. A passing driver saw the accident and assisted him until police and paramedics arrived.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.
Since then, Circus Harmony has posted a number of statements via its Facebook page, honoring the later performer.
"Everyone who met him knew him as a circus -loving, generous, helpful, incredibly kind-spirited, singing soul," the organization posted Oct. 26 on its Facebook page. "We will be setting up the Reggie Moore Scholarship Fund to give to others the opportunities he so cherished."
Circus Harmony has planned a memorial for Moore at City Museum, Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Circus Harmony asks that donation checks be made out to Moore's mother, Nichelle Morris and sent in care of Circus Harmony, 4120 Parker Rd., Florissant, MO 63033.
