Clayton, MO (KSDK) - A teenager from Town and Country who was found guilty in September during a bench trial for robbery and attempted forcible sodomy will spend the next five years in prison.

Sentencing was handed down Thursday against 18 year old Demetrie Thomas after he was found guilty by Judge David Lee Vincent. The crimes took place in May 2012.

Thomas was identified by a female victim after Town and Country police received a 911 call about Thomas assaulting the woman in the same block of Willowbend Park where Thomas lived.

Police arrived and saw the injured woman on a sidewalk ans Thomas fleeing the scene. Police gave chase and eventually took Thomas into custody the following day.

Judge Vincent gave Thomas the five year term on the attempted forcible sodomy conviction, and a suspended prison term on the robbery charge, plus probation.
