ST. LOUIS - Two former high-ranking St. Louis parks employees will be sentenced Thursday on federal embezzling charges.

Former Deputy Parks Commissioner Joseph Vacca and former Chief Park Ranger Thomas Stritzel pleaded guilty in September to submitting false invoices and using nearly $500,000 in city money for personal expenses.

Prosecutors say they bought cars, gas, and paid off credit card bills with the money.

Each man is facing up to 20 years in prison.
