WARRENTON, Mo. – A man has been taken into custody following a bank robbery Thursday in Warrenton, Mo.

Police say a man walked into Jonesburg State Bank in the 500 block of North Highway 47 around 12:30 p.m. He showed a teller a note demanding money. The teller inferred he was armed, and handed him an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect walked outside and drove from the bank in a silver Hyundai.

Officers were notified of the robbery and spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's vehicle driving east on Interstate 70 through Wright City. A Wright City officer tried to the pull the vehicle over, but the driver did not stop, starting a pursuit.

Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and officers with the Foristell and Wentzville police departments responded to the scene, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
